Surface mounted automatic door bottom is a common device used to prevent the smoke, air, dust, rain etc. from passing through the gap between the bottom of the door leaf and the floor.
Mechanism: the metal plunger is compressed when the door is closed by contacting the door frame (first contact with the door frame on the hinge side), thereby activating the internal spring mechanism to release the bottom sealing strip to meet the gap between door leaf and floor, the seal compresses on flat or uneven surfaces and automatically retracts back when the door is opened.
